Northridge Cinema 10

My wife and I visited the Northridge Cinema 10 recently for a matinee showing of Barbie. There are some things to like about this theater and some things that can be improved. First, let's cover the good stuff. (1) The cinema offers reserved seating and may be purchased in advance. Very cool! (2) Customers can purchase a self-service unlimited popcorn and unlimited soda. Nice! (3) The reclining seats are comfortable. (4) Although it's not stadium seating, there is enough pitch to the floor that I didn't have trouble seeing the screen. (5) The movie was in focus and the sound was adequate. Okay, now for the areas it can be improved: (1) There is inadequate cleaning. In the cracks between the seat cushion and the frame of the seat were food tidbits left from previous guests. The beverage holders on the seats were also sticky. In the lobby, there was a lot of popcorn strewn on the floor that needed to be swept up. (2) It has some clutter issues. When I went to the men's room, there were ladders in the hallway leading to the room. They really should be put away. (3) There was no one to show our tickets at the door. We had purchased our tickets in advance and were prepared to show the digital ticket from our phone, but there was nobody at the door. I thought perhaps further into the theater there would be a ticket person, but there was not. That was rather strange. Perhaps the absence of a ticket person and the lack of cleaning could be attributed to the inability to hire adequate staff. At any rate, we enjoyed the film and may return. But if we do return, it will probably be the unlimited soda and popcorn that lures us back. That seems to be the biggest thing that this theater has going for it.

Dare I say this is better than my beloved movie theater back at home? I've seen many, many movies at this place over many, many vacations on the island, and from the get-go I can tell you that the tickets here are a little bit cheaper than the one back at home. At the same time, this was my first visit in nearly 6 years, and some things appear to be different! For one thing, the concept of a self-serve popcorn machine is pretty cool, and I don't remember if they had that last time; same with their bar room. As the name suggests, there are 10 different movie screening rooms, there is also an arcade, and quite the interesting snack menu! At what other movie theater could you have funnel cakes and churros while watching your movie? I also love how above one of their exit doors there is a still from Fantasia 2000 of all things. For the longest time, I had no idea what that was, but since I have seen the movie recently, now I know!

I was AMAZED with the food. Just a hot dog and cheese sticks but they were awesome. The movies playing on each side were so loud that I could here The Little Mermaid songs. Getting tickets wasn’t convenient/ no one was around working front or computer. Workers not helpful. Prices during the day are fantastic and not too crowded. :)

I’ve been coming here since I was a child I am a local to the area born and raised .I now bring my daughter to this theater and I have had pleasant experiences,I usually bring my daughter on my days off and I always seem to run into the manager Christopher in all of my time being here his team as well as him. Have always help and been pleasant everyone i come through the cinema they are always friendly and ready to help especially him ! He is awesome and deserves a raise !
